Getting to Château du
Feÿ by Car
We are 95 miles from central Paris
- exit on the south side of the city, following signs for A6 or
Lyon
If coming from either Charles de
Gaulle or Orly (our closest airports) likewise follow signs for
A6/Lyon
Continue on A6 for about 80 miles
(you pass through a toll booth about half way) and leave the
highway at Exit 17, marked for Courtenay/Villeneuve sur Yonne.
We are about 20 minutes from this
exit. Please ask us for detailed directions if needed; most road
maps show Joigny and Sens and we are located above the N6 road
linking these two towns, about 2 miles north of Joigny and about
15 miles south of Sens.
Total driving time from Paris area:
100 minutes in good driving conditions.
Getting to
Château du Feÿ by
Train
From Paris
Fast trains take about l hour and 20 minutes and stop first at
Sens and then at Joigny. The occasional fast train skips Joigny
and stops 10 miles further south, at Laroche Migennes. Taxis
should be available at either station.
Slow trains also call at a station called St Julien du Sault, one
stop before Joigny and even closer to Château du Feÿ. No taxis are
available there.
The departure/arrival station in Paris is Gare de Lyon, except for
some trains which depart from an adjacent substation called Gare
de Bercy. Both follow the same track to Joigny.
For details, please see
http://www.sncf.com
for the train schedule. No seat booking is needed (or possible)
and a ticket can be bought at the station although at peak hours
you must allow time for this. You can also get on the train
without a ticket and purchase one at a premium from the conductor.
From points south
The same information
